[Framework reveal] Turn subscribers into buyers

Your lead magnet needs to be a stepping stone to your paid offer. Not just related to it. A serious, legitimate first step toward it.

Let me show you what I mean…

Bad alignment:

❌ Lead magnet: "50 Email Marketing Tips from Top Creators"

❌ Paid offer: Email automation setup service

The subscriber downloading general tips isn’t showing intent to buy implementation help.

Good alignment:

✅ Lead magnet: "Email Automation Readiness Checklist"

✅ Paid offer: Email automation setup service

Now the subscriber is actively thinking about implementation while using your lead magnet.

See the difference?

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying these are not valuable, they just don't align.

Think about your main offer. Is your lead magnet a genuine first step toward it? Or just loosely related content?

Here’s your 3-step alignment check:

  1. Does your lead magnet help subscribers diagnose their specific problem?
  2. Does it show them what’s possible but not give away the entire solution?
  3. Does it naturally lead to your paid offer as the logical next step?

If you answered "no" to any of these, your alignment is off.

The good news? This is fixable. And you don’t have to throw away your existing list to do it.

Here’s what to do:

  1. Look at your last 5 customers. What specific problem made them buy?
  2. Create a lead magnet that helps people identify if they have that same problem
  3. Position your paid offer as the complete solution
